<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof a regular meeting <br />of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br />December 9, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, <br />803 5th Avenue NW, New Brighton, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Senden, Councilmembers Bob Benke, <br />Roger Blomquist, Jeanette Janecek, Steve Schmidt <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />Dennis S. Zylla, City Manager <br />Donald L. Lais, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Jim Winkels, Director of Community Development <br />Vern Pederson, city Clerk <br />Maurice Anderson, Director of Parks and Recreation <br /> <br />Minutes <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to approve the <br />minutes of November 20, 1980 with the following correction: <br /> <br />Page 2, Paragraph 1 to read: "Counci1member Benke requested <br />that staff provide information regarding potential use of <br />present basement meeting room if used for storage versus <br />meeting space. The intent being to review the affect of <br />this space use as storage on other City facilities." <br /> <br />and to approve the minutes of November 25, 1980 as presented. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor with consent of the Council directed receipt of <br />the Park Board minutes of November 12, 1980; Board of Review <br />minutes of November 18, 1980; Citizen Study Committee minutes <br />of December 3, 1980; and the Park Board minutes of December <br />3, 1980 as presented. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt to approve the <br />following items: <br /> <br />1. Consolidated fund vouchers 51203-51229i 57606-57688 <br />2. Liquor fund vouchers 13547-13575 <br />3. Assessment Division #56286 <br />4. The purchase of water meters.
