S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried The City Manager and Director of Parks and Recreation reviewed the most recent action taken by the Ramsey County Board regarding the Long Lake Park site. The Council indicated that additional direction to the Park Board and staff would be an item of discussion for the upcoming workshop session on City goals and objectives. No further action was taken. The Counicl received and discussed the revised plans for the proposed public safety building. No action was taken. The City Engineer reviewed the EQC suggestion that the City appoint someone to serve on the Regional Hazardous Waste Criteria and Siting Conunittee. The Council suggested that it may be best to let the EQC make a recommendation as to who should serve on this conunittee. No further action was taken. Motion by Senden, seconded by Blomquist to acknowledge receipt and acceptance of a letter of resignation from the City Manager. S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried Motion by Senden, seconded by Benke to direct staff to prepare and submit an advertisement for the position of City Manager to the League of Minnesota Cities and to the International City Management Association publications. 5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to designate a City Manager Selection Committee consisting of Mayor Senden, Councilmember Blomquist, the City Attorney, and the City Clerk; and to direct the Selection Committee to proceed with the preliminary tasks of selection of the City Manager.
