<br />....~~ <br /> <br />-~~:. <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />November 12, 1980 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />6) That mail service was erratic; and <br />7) That egress and ingress in winter would be impaired. <br /> <br />Theresa Rassler, 1481 10th Street NW, stated that <br />the closing of the access created additional miles <br />for each resident of the complex and according to <br />her calculations, residents of the complex would <br />use an additional 675 gallons of gasoline per year. <br /> <br />The Mayor responded to the petition stating that <br />a, b, c, and e were incorrect. <br /> <br />After considerable discussion, the Council acted <br />in the fOllowing manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Senden to direct <br />staff to send a letter to residents of the Polynesian <br />Village complex clarifying erroneous information <br />stated in the petition regarding police, fire, <br />and ambulance response times. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke to amend the above motion by <br />directing staff to provide Mr. Bohlig information <br />regarding regulations and design standard information <br />used to justify the closure. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion died for lack of second. <br /> <br />Vote on main motion. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke to <br />direct staff to investigate the feasibility <br />of renaming that portion of 8th Street north <br />of the 7th Street entrance. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to refer <br />the fire lane problem in the POlynesian Village <br />complex to staff for study and report. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Janecek to direct <br />staff to investigate the possibility of having <br />signs from 10th Street NW identifying a route <br />to the Polynesian Village complex. <br />S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. & Mrs. Dale Carlson, 2897 14A Street, <br />spoke in favor of the subdivision. <br /> <br />Minor Subdivision <br />EriCkson/Carlson <br />Report No. 80-186 <br /> <br />The Council expressed concern with the <br />deflection of a portion of one lot line and <br />requested the petitioner investigate the <br /> <br />-3- <br />
