Motion by Benke, seconded by Schmidt to authorize expenditures in the amount of $3,400 of items requested in Report No. 80-83 and to authorize the transfer of $3,400 from the Revenue Sharing Fund to the Park Construction Fund to fund the above expenditure. S ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried The Director of Parks and Recreation was present to answer questions. Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to authorize improvements to Totem Pole Park in an amount of $l,200; Hidden Oaks East, $1,300; Driftwood Park, $250; Hansen Park, $lO,250; and Silver Oak Park, $2,000 as recommended in the Park and Recreation Director's report and also to authorize Long Lake Clean-up in an amount of $5,000 and further authorizing staff to implement transfer of $20,000 from the ReVenue Sharing Fund to fund the above projects. 5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried Mr. George Christenson and Mr. John Ostlund of the Mounds View School District #621 were present to answer questions. The Director of Park s and Recreation was also present to answer questions. Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to authorize the Mayor and Manager to execute a Joint Powers Agreement with Mounds View School District #62l for maintenance at the Highview Middle School.
