Also opposed were: <br /> <br />Keith Kersten, 30 16th Avenue SWi <br />Don Mecki 93 l6th Avenuei and <br />Rodger Schlagel, 115 l6th Avenue SW. He submitted a petition <br />in opposition with 28 signatures. Mayor Blomquist with <br />consent of the Council directed receipt and filing of <br />said petition. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to close the hearing. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />After considerable discussion, the Council acted in the <br />fOllowing manner: <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to order the <br />connection from l6th Avenue SW to Silver Lane, and <br />include the feasibility study in the 1981 Capital <br />Improvements Plan. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Schmidt to direct <br />staff to study and report on the advisability of <br />erecting stop signs at one or more intersections <br />on 16th Avenue SW from 3rd Street SW to County Road <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The applicant, J. A. Cadwallader, was present <br />to answer questions. <br /> <br />Larry peissig requested additional information <br />regarding the proposed development. <br /> <br />The Director of Community Development explained <br />the history of the acquisition of the property <br />by the applicant, communications with the St. <br />Anthony School District regarding reuse of the <br />porperty and all discussions before the Planning <br />Commission, Park Board, and City Council. <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br />"E". <br /> <br />VN-2l4, J.
