<br />I <br /> <br />_I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />June lO, 1980 <br /> <br />Mr. Steve Thompson, representing the Citizen <br />Study Committee reviewed the Citizen Study <br />Committee's recent meeting and recommendation <br />regarding licenses for food warehouses. <br /> <br />Mr. Abe Rosenthal, representing Tyson Trucking, <br />was present and stated for the record that he <br />felt the proposed ordinance was duplicative <br />in nature and burdensome and troublesome for <br />the clients he was representing and the trucking <br />industry as a whole. <br /> <br />Food Code <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 79-501 <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Janecek to direct <br />staff to prepare an ordinance regarding food <br />licensing along the lines of the Citizen Study <br />Committee recommendation as outlined in recommendation <br />#3 of Report No. 79-501. <br />3 ayes - 1 naye (Benke) - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Benke to direct <br />staff to communicate the City's opposition to <br />the League of Minnesota Cities proposed 1981 <br />Legislative policy regarding on-site wine <br />tasting. <br />3 ayes - 1 naye (Janecek) - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to <br />waive the reading, hold the second reading <br />adopt and order publication of AN ORDINANCE <br />RENEWING OFDINANCE NUMBER 453 RELATING TO THE <br />REGULATION OF THE USE OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN <br />THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The City Manager reviewed the issues. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke <br /> <br />l. That the City Council adopt as City policy <br />that all police officers obtain and maintain <br />certification in Crash Injury Management <br />training including CPR. <br /> <br />2. That the City provide for the training to <br />achieve Crash Injury Management certification <br />including CPR for each first responder. <br /> <br />3.
