<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brj.ghton <br />August 12, 1980 <br /> <br />Council Business <br />Mr. Ron Nelson, 2087 violet Lane, indicated <br />that since the last City Council meeting the <br />electronic bug killer located at 2200 Mounds <br />Avenue had been modified and that at present <br />he did not feel there was reason to complete <br />further noise tests. . <br /> <br />Mr. Al Countryman, 2200 Mounds Avenue, <br />indicated he had made several revisions, <br />that it was his desire to correct any <br />problems in regard to the device and that <br />he certainly did not wish to create a <br />problem for his neighbors. Mr Countryman <br />passed out copies of his redesigned device <br />to the City Council. The Mayor with consent <br />of the Council directed receipt of the <br />drawings from Mr. Countryman. <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Bergstrom, 2162 Mounds Avenue, also <br />stated that he agreed with Mr. Nelson in <br />that the revisions to the device have greatly <br />reduced the problem and that at present he <br />does not consider the device or noise to <br />be a public nuisance. Further Mr. Bergstrom <br />stated he concurred with Mr. Nelson in that <br />a further noise testing was unnecessary. <br /> <br />No further action was taken by the City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. John Daubney, attorney representing <br />Mr. Tom Willmus, stated they were in <br />agreement with the Planning Commission <br />and staff recommendations and further <br />that the City Council had the authority <br />and control of the development under <br />Section 11-500 of the zoning code in <br />the Planned Unit Development provisions. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist to <br />find the proposed office/warehouse distribution <br />center consistent with the Comprehensive Plan <br />on the basis that development applications will <br />be processed in accordance with Section 11-500, <br />Planned Unit Development of the zoning code, <br />and that the development proposal will comply <br />with the standards "a-g" outlined on page 8, <br />Land Use of the Comprehensive Plan (dated Feb. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Mr. vincent Dahle, attorney representing <br />Brian Pletcher, John Pletcher, and Mr. and Mrs. <br />Paul Biedler, addressed the Council in regard <br />to a connection fee charged his clients in lieu <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br />Electronic Bug Killer <br />Report No. 80-137 <br /> <br />J <br />I, <br />;; <br /> <br />Compo plan Consistency <br />Willmus Companies <br />Report No. 80-133 <br /> <br />1, 1979). <br /> <br />Hook-up Fee <br />Lot 9, Block 1 <br />Oakwood Pond <br />Report No. 80-134 <br />
