The City will continue to provide an educational housing program geared. toward the,owners, managers, and tenants of the apartment complexes. 2. The intent is to have informational type meetings with the owners, managers, and tenants of the apartment complex. 3. The C1ty Sanitarian will be responsible for this program and arrangement and conduct uf meetings. 4. Program cost $650.00. food Establishments 1. The inspe~tion of ~ll food establishments within the City three times a year. t This means: I a. The inspection of the food establishments. b. Repo'rts written up, delivered and explained. c. Reinspectlons made. d. Court action if necessafy. 2. The City Sanitarian will make all inspections as well as report in writing. 3. Program cost $2,200.00. The total cost of continuing our improved environmental health program would be $3,700.00. The areas included in this proposal are food establishments, housing, motels, hotels, mobile home parks and camp- grounds. The City.s environmental health program is p,art of the Department of Community Development, which includes all City planning and building activities. The Departments total budget is $127,000, of which approximately $30,000 or 23% is devoted to environmental health. The health program costs includes personnel services, materials and supplies, and contractural services. We would note that to accompliSh the continued health program improvements, we have relieved the City Sanitarian of more routine tasks so that he can devote time to the more technical items necessary under this program. It is hoped that by continuing our upgraded invironmental health I program, weare able to provide a safe and healthy environment for the citizens of New Brighton.
