<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City of New Brighton <br />February 12, 1980 <br /> <br />Betty Rosner, l571 17th Avenue, questioned when the stop <br />sign study was starteti and when it was contemplated that <br />the study would be completed. <br /> <br />Ms. Rosner also indicated her desire to see stop signs <br />at this intersection. <br /> <br />Mr. Dick Kristyniak, l660 l7th Avenue NW, stated he also <br />was in support of the stop signs, that he would like to <br />see additional police patrol, reduced speed signs and <br />that he also noted the problems with visability caused by <br />the existing fence, house locations, and snow piles. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to reconsider the <br />original motion regarding installation of stop signs at <br />this intersection. <br />4 ayes - 1 naye (Blomquist) - motion carried <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Mitchell, 1641 l7th Avenue, stated that someone <br />could get hurt before the study is completed and that he <br />urgently requests that the Council consider installation <br />of the stop signs. <br /> <br />Vote on reconsidered motion. <br />2 ayes - 3 nayes (Benke, Janecek, Schmidt) <br /> <br />Original motion failed. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to waive the reading <br />and adopt a resolution entitled RESOLUTION ORDERING THE RESOLUTION # <br />INSTALLATION OF STOP SIGNS ON l7TH AVENUE ID'l AT l6TH STREET 2300 <br />NW. <br /> <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Senden, seconded by Blomquist to <br />refer the plans for Berger Transfer and Storage <br />to the Planning Commission and Board of Review <br />for study and report. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />LP-78 <br />Berger 'l'ransfer <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 79-312A <br /> <br />The City Manager reviewed the application <br />for tax exempt financing. <br /> <br />Application for <br />Tax Exempt Financinq <br />Berger Transfer <br />Supplement to <br />Report No. 79-312 <br /> <br />Mr. William Dirks, President of Berger Transfer <br />and Storage, and Mr. Roger Winges, representing <br />Juran and Moody, were present to explain their <br />application and need for this proposed financing. <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Murlowski, Belair Builders, contractor <br />for Berger Transfer and Storage noted they had <br />completed more than $lOO,OOO of soil and stte <br />preparation to the site. <br /> <br />~- ,:,. _.~ <br />
