<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />September 25, 1979 <br />city of New Brighton <br /> <br />The Director of Parks and Recreation was <br />present to answer questions. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist <br />to receive the minutes of the Administrative <br />bid opening and award the contract for the <br />base bid to W & G Rehbein Bros. Inc. in <br />the amount of $52,930 and authorize Mayor <br />and Manager to execute the contract. <br />3 ayes - 1 naye (Benke) - motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Benke <br />tOt accept quotations for the purchase <br />of: two bleacher units and portable player <br />benches from Earl F. Anderson in the <br />amount of $1,948 and authorize administrative <br />authority to issue purchase order in that <br />amount and further authorizing that the <br />rernaining$62 be used for the purpose of <br />engraving plaques to recognize the contribution <br />of Basic Industries. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Public Hearings <br />Jack Bell, attorney representing the <br />. Eagles Lodge was present to answer <br />questions. <br /> <br />Motion by Blomquist, seconded by Janecek <br />to close the hearing. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes ~ motion. carried <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Benke to <br />waive the reading, and adopt a RESOLUTION <br />MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION <br />FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT FOR A BOTTLE CLUB. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br />Bill Diercks, 758 Torchwood Drive, <br />representing Berger Transfer and <br />Storage was present. <br /> <br />Mr. Diercks, stated that Berger has <br />every intention of completing the <br />development of the property as was <br />originally proposed and approved <br />but that there were some uncertainties <br />with Federal reoulations which permits <br />them to build only the initial 50,000 <br />square foot building. <br /> <br />-4- <br /> <br />Hansen Park <br />Construction Contrac~ <br />Report No. 79-491 <br /> <br />Park Bleachers <br />Basic Industries <br />Re~ort No. 79-489 <br /> <br />Special Use Permit <br />Request - Eagles <br />9:15 - 9:20 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2248 <br /> <br />LP-78 <br />Berger Transfer <br />
