Zylla, City Manager
Leslie J. Proper, Director of Public Works

\,eh\ .

FROM

SUBJECT: OLD WATER TOWER ON FIRE STATION PROPERTY

Dennis, as I mentioned to you the other day we should advertise
our old water tower in the League of Cities magazine. Maybe
someone would take it off our hands and save us the cost of
removing it.

The old tower is 77 feet high from ground to overflow and has
a 55,000 gallon capacity. The tower was taken out of service
around 1971 when the water system was converted to higher
pressure. Photos are attached.

J

Do we need Council authorization to advertise?

mh
