RESOLUTION NO.09-026 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON solution Providing for the Sale of $970,000 General Obligation Bonds, ies 2009A and $1,375,000 Taxable General Obligation Tax Increment Refunding Bonds, Series 2009B [EREAS, the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota, has heretofore :rmined that it is necessary and expedient to issue the City's $970,000 General igation Bonds, Series 2009A (the "Series 2009A Bonds"), to finance street instruction improvements in the City and to current refund the General Obligation Tax 'ement Bonds, Series 1997C; and LEAS, the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota, has heretofore tined that it is necessary and expedient to issue the City's $1,375,000 Taxable it Obligation Tax Increment Refunding Bonds, Series 2009B (the "Series 2009B "), to current refund the Taxable General Obligation Tax Increment Bonds, Series 1; and ?REAS, the City has retained Ehlers & Associates, Inc., in Roseville, Minnesota lers"), as its independent financial advisor for the Bonds and is therefore authorized to it proposals in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.60, Subdivision 2(9); THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New in, Minnesota, as follows: 1. Authorization; Findings. The City Council hereby authorizes Ehlers to solicit proposals for the sale of the Bonds. 2. Meeting; Proposal Opening. The City Council shall meet at 6:30 p.m. on May 26, 2009, for the purpose of considering sealed proposals for and awarding the sale of the Bonds. 3. Official Statement. In connection with said sale, the officers or employees of the City are hereby authorized to cooperate with Ehlers and participate in the preparation of an official statement for the Bonds and to execute and deliver it on behalf of the City upon its completion. e motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was made by Council Member illips and duly seconded by Council Member Burg
