RESOLUTION NO.09-026 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />solution Providing for the Sale of $970,000 General Obligation Bonds, <br />ies 2009A and $1,375,000 Taxable General Obligation Tax Increment <br />Refunding Bonds, Series 2009B <br />[EREAS, the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota, has heretofore <br />:rmined that it is necessary and expedient to issue the City's $970,000 General <br />igation Bonds, Series 2009A (the "Series 2009A Bonds"), to finance street <br />instruction improvements in the City and to current refund the General Obligation Tax <br />'ement Bonds, Series 1997C; and <br />LEAS, the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota, has heretofore <br />tined that it is necessary and expedient to issue the City's $1,375,000 Taxable <br />it Obligation Tax Increment Refunding Bonds, Series 2009B (the "Series 2009B <br />"), to current refund the Taxable General Obligation Tax Increment Bonds, Series <br />1; and <br />?REAS, the City has retained Ehlers & Associates, Inc., in Roseville, Minnesota <br />lers"), as its independent financial advisor for the Bonds and is therefore authorized to <br />it proposals in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 475.60, Subdivision 2(9); <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New <br />in, Minnesota, as follows: <br />1. Authorization; Findings. The City Council hereby authorizes Ehlers to solicit <br />proposals for the sale of the Bonds. <br />2. Meeting; Proposal Opening. The City Council shall meet at 6:30 p.m. on May 26, <br />2009, for the purpose of considering sealed proposals for and awarding the sale of <br />the Bonds. <br />3. Official Statement. In connection with said sale, the officers or employees of the <br />City are hereby authorized to cooperate with Ehlers and participate in the <br />preparation of an official statement for the Bonds and to execute and deliver it on <br />behalf of the City upon its completion. <br />e motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was made by Council Member <br />illips and duly seconded by Council Member Burg <br />
