Of
Or (Idy that marks RY you
Memo
To: Mayor and City Council
From: Dean R. Lotter, City Manager
Subject: Docket Item — Review City Legal Representation
Date: June 2, 2009
As established at the April 20th Council Docket meeting, the topics for the June
2nd worksession are reviewing the City's legal representation and a discussion on
land use and zoning matters. The Council will need to provide direction on City
Attorney legal services. If the Council would like to proceed with another RFP
process, the Council will need to direct staff accordingly and highlight any
thoughts or direction as to the desired process.
The second items for discussion are planning items that relate to land use and
zoning code topics and updates. Please note the memo from Grant Fernelius
and Janice Gundlach attached for your information. Staff will need Council's
prioritization and guidance on the topics covered in this memo. Staff will also
need to be informed if there are other topics needing to be addressed that are
not included in this staff memo.
As a reminder, we start the worksession at Spm and end at 7pm. I look forward to
seeing everyone at City Hall on Tuesday. Enjoy your weekend.
11;\Council Reports\lune 2, 2009 Legal Representation Worksession.doc
