ORDINANCE NO. <br />781 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />ORDINANCE RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS IN THE CITY OF <br />NEW BRIGHTON <br />City Code Chapter 2 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota is <br />amended to read as follows: <br />City Code Chapter 2 <br />Division I - General Conditions <br />Sec. t3-56. General. <br />The rpose of this Article is to establish various advisory commissions. The commissions are intended <br />to ut 'ze members of the community in an advisory capacity to assist the City Council and staff with <br />achid, ring goals and objectives for the City and to ensure that the ideas of citizens are well represented in <br />the r clicy making process. The general operating principles in this Division shall apply to all <br />co 'ssions. (Ord. No. 610,12-13-94; Code of 2001) <br />See. M--57. Name. <br />All I C ards, committees, and commissions will be named "commissions". (Ord. No. 610, 12-13-94; Code <br />of 2(01) <br />Sec. 58. Commission Size. <br />All cc mmissions will have a maximum of nine members appointed by the City Council. <br />Sec 59. Appointment. <br />Co ssion members will be appointed by the City Council. (Ord. No. 610, 12-13-94; Code of 200 1) <br />Sec. 260. Removal from a Commission. <br />Any 4ember of a commission may be removed from office by a majority vote of the City Council.
