Painting, Inv.. <br />Legislative History: The City Council ordered Project 09-1 on February 10, 2009 and awarded a <br />contract to M.K. Painting, Inc. in the amount of $827,000.00 on March 24, 2009. <br />Financial Impact: Please see attached payment breakdown for details. <br />Explanation: Project 09-1 consists of the repainting of the interior and exterior surfaces of the <br />i1,000,000 gallon water tower located at 660 5th Street SW. <br />The provisions of the contract with M.K. Painting, Inc. stipulate that the City makes a partial payment to <br />the contractor at lease once each month at regular intervals on the basis of the work performed during <br />that preceding month. This partial payment includes the blasting and priming of the interior surface and <br />the erection of the containment system. <br />Costs and Funding: The City Council approved a total cost of this project is $1,029,700 which includes <br />construction, engineering, and a contingency. This project will be funded from the Water Improvement Fund <br />which has $1,250,000 budgeted for this work. <br />Grant I1f.
