Consideration of a One Year Extension to Recycling Contract with Waste Management, Inc. for <br />2010. Report No. 09-232. <br />Code Enforcenent Officer Joe Hatch explained the City is currently in the final year of a three year <br />contract with Waste Manage'nent for recycling services. City staffmIuested Waste Management provid <br />an offer for a one year extension to the current contract. Waste Management responded with an offer to <br />increase the base rate per household f om$1.70 to $1.89, with a RMO (Recycle Market Offset) fee <br />included. There was a discussion related to the possible financial exposure related to the RMO. <br />Councilmember Phillips reminded residents that all potential cost would not be passed on to them. <br />Motion by counci'lmember Phillips, seconded by councilmember Burg to approve the one year <br />extension of the Recycling Contract with Waste Manageirient for 2010. <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion carried <br />Cama?
