NYFS Presentation. <br />Report No. 09-255. <br />Jerry Hromatka representing Northwest Youth and Family Services explained <br />Northwest Youth and Family Services began in 1976, of the original ten community <br />partnerships, nine are still involved. The organization assists youth in the Northwest <br />suburbs with various needs. Mr. Hrornatka explained the benefits of their services to <br />the community include: lower crime statistics, support higher education attainment, <br />allows parents to be more productive in the workplace, and allows senior citizens to <br />live independently. Director of Public Safety stated that $1 spent on prevention, will <br />save $4 in future costs. <br />2. Presentation of Official Portrait by New NBrighton ors. Mayor Larson thanked the group, and stated they do an <br />"Absolute Incredible Job."
