As part of a multi-year network build -out plan, Clearwire's
4G service, called CLEARTm, will be available in major metropolitan areas across the
U. S, and bring together an unprecedented combination of speed and mobility. Clearwire's
open all -1P network, combined with significant spectrum holdings, provides unmatched
network capacity to deliver next generation broadband access. Strategic investors include
Intel Capital, Comcast, Sprint, Google, Time Warner Cable, and Bright House Networks.
Clearwire currently provides 4G service, utilizing WiMA.X technology in two markets
and provides pre-WiMAX communications services in 50 markets across the U.S. and
Europe. Headquartered in Kirkland, Wash., additional information about Clearwire is
available at www.clearwire.com.
Clearwire is proposing to install up to three (3) panel antennas (dimensions = 48" x 13" •
x 3"; weighing 35 lbs. each) and three (3) microwave dishes (26"in diameter; weighing
43 lbs) at 120' on an Xcel Energy Transmission Tower at 2172 Old Hwy 8, along with a
10' x 10' lease area for an equipment cabinet to operate its FCC -licensed wireless
internet/data system. IRET Properties owns the underlying land, and have signed the
Land Use Permit Application. Clearwire and Xcel Energy are in the process of finalizing
their MLA (Master Lease Agreement) in order for Clearwire to utilize numerous existing
Xcel Transmission Towers in the area. Sprint currently utilizes this transmission tower
with their antennas at approximately 100', and their 12' x 30' equipment shelter at the
base of the transmission tower. The antennas and microwave dishes will be painted to
match the transmission tower.
Detailed Construction Drawings are forthcoming. The expected installation date is
Summer, 2010.
Please contact me if you have any questions:
Rob Viera
Buell Consulting
robertjviera@yahoo.com
612.801.2228
0
