accomplishments and current developments to ensure a fully -integrated and
consensus driven approach to our efforts.
2. Develop a government relations strategy to support the promotion of the City of New
Brighton's projects in all government and local channels.
3. Implement the proposed strategy through regular communication and high level
meetings with selected federal agencies and congressional leadership.
4. In addition, we will continually evaluate, with the City of New Brighton, the progress
of the government affairs strategy through conference calls and meetings.
Adjustments will be made, after review, to ensure your objectives are being fully met
and priorities served.
Section III Our Approach
The FACE/mCapitol team has the resources and relationships to assist the City of New
Brighton in its goal of pursing funding for the Northwest Quadrant Redevelopment Project.
In pursing the City's priorities in Washington, D.C., it is essential to build strong coalitions of
support. The combination of our comprehensive contacts within the U.S. Congress, the
Administration, trade groups, nonprofit organizations, and other entities, coupled with our
relationships with the Minnesota Congressional Delegation, make us particularly well
positioned to build and support priorities of the City of New Brighton in Washington, DC.
If the City of New Brighton chooses to retain us, we would work to progress through an
aggressive campaign to educate decision -makers in Washington who are positioned to assist
in our efforts. These constituencies would include:
➢ Members and staff of the Minnesota congressional delegation — Our lobbyists
have years of personal and working relationships with members and staff of the
Minnesota delegation in both the House and Senate. Through professional work,
Washington, D.C. connections, and client representation, our team has the ability to
coordinate meetings at the highest levels in the congressional offices that the City of
New Brighton will need to gain support for its projects.
➢ Democratic and Republican leaders from the House and Senate and their staff -
Our lobbyists have long standing relationships with Democratic and Republican
leaders in both the House and Senate. We are positioned to facilitate meetings with
House Minority leader John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate
Majority Whip Richard Durbin, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, and
other leaders of both Democratic and Republican parties.
➢ House and Senate Appropriations Committees- We have extensive relationships
with members and key staff on the House and Senate Appropriations Committee.
These staffers have an enormous amount of power in determining what gets funded
and what does not. mCapitol Management Vice President, Christine Heggern, a
former professional staff member from the United States Senate Committee on
Appropriations would assist in these efforts.
3
