<br />RESOLUTION NO. 99 - 026 <br /> <br />..' <br /> <br />I <br />'\r <br />, I <br />! <br />I <br /> <br />r <br /> <br />-'" <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A LAND PURCHASE <br />AGREEMENT (1427 OLD HIGHWAY 8 NW). <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Sections 469.124 to 469.134, as amended, the <br />City has established Development District No 1 ("District") for the purpose of development <br />and redevelopment within the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the tax-forfeited property located at 1427 Old Highway 8 NW (the "Property") <br />within the District has been offered by Ramsey County for acquisition by the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City plans to redevelop the area that includes the Property, such area is <br />known as the Northwest Quadrant. <br /> <br />i WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the reports of the city staff and consultants and <br />has fully inquired into the proposaL <br /> <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of New Brighton as follows: <br /> <br />That the City's acquisition of the Property is consistent with the purposes for which the <br />District was. established and is in the vital best interests of the City; and <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized to negotiate with Ramsey <br />County the terms of the acquisition of the Property and to execute documents, including a <br />purchase agreement, agreeing to acquire the property pursuant to either Minn. Stat 282.01 or <br />the alternate procedure as set forth in Minn.
