Report No 10- <br />043. <br />ouncil Business <br />one <br />Commission Liaison Reports Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />Mr. Lotter announced public works employee Tom Symanski resigned after 41 years of <br />service to the City. Mr. Lotter recently toured the new Hilton Homewood Suites, and met <br />with the General Manager where the possibility of considering a lodging tax was discussed. <br />14. Consideration of <br />Accepting the bid and <br />Awarding a contract for <br />City Project 10-4. <br />Report No. 10-044 <br />Public Hearing <br />None <br />Council Business <br />None <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the EDC met February 2nd. Risdall and Associates Reports,mision Liaison <br />presented their recommendations for the renaming of the Northwest Quadrant; Newgate on Announcements ements and <br />Old 8, Infinity and Larkspur Crossing. updates <br />David Phillips <br />Councilmember Phillips reported the Planning Commission will next meet February 16th. <br />It was announced there are vacancies on various commissions. <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen received a request from Johnson Screens to present a "Manufacturer of the <br />Year" award April 8th <br />ar Bur <br />ouncilmember Burg attended the North Suburban Cable Commission meeting and the Park, <br />Recreation & Environmental Commission meeting. A group called "Friends of Historic <br />Hansen Park" attended the PREC meeting and presented a donation of $590 to help support <br />the disc golf course at Hansen Park. The North Suburban Cable Commission will be <br />awarding approximately $90,000 in scholarships, New Brighton residents were encouraged to <br />apply. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson attended the Public Safety Commission meeting January 27th. Bill <br />Kerns was appointed Chairperson. <br />Adjournment <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Phillips to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays -Motion Carried <br />
