lbhof <br />ERIGHM PROCLAMATION <br />Me c9y 9W wrks Rx you <br />GET ACTIVE MAY 3-9 <br />IN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />Whereas, the City of New Brighton will engage participation in a Get Active campaign <br />that was derived from MRSA - International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association's <br />National Movement called "Get Active America". IHRSA's mission is to grow, protect and <br />promote the health and fitness industry, and to provide its members with benefits that will help <br />them be more successful. The participants of this event are New Brighton Parks & Recreation, <br />St. Anthony Community Services, Fitness Crossroads and Curves of St. Anthony., and <br />Whereas, this campaign is set for May 3-9, 2010 to encourage citizens to lead a healthier lifestyle <br />and promote activities and facilities that provide or allow people to increase activity by <br />rediscovering what their community already provides regarding programs, parks and facilities. <br />This will also involve local organizations, business and media revolving around events for the <br />week; and <br />Whereas, New Brighton, Minnesota recognizes that the adoption of the Get Active Campaign <br />within our facilities, parks and programs are the key to promoting active, healthy lifestyles for <br />our community; and <br />Now, Therefore, I, Dave Jacobsen Mayor of City of New Brighton do hereby proclaim May 3-9, <br />2010 as "Get Active" week in your community. <br />Be it further resolved that New Brighton, Minnesota agrees to encourage citizens of New <br />Brighton and its neighboring communities to get active and enjoy the parks, facilities and <br />programs provided. <br />Proclaimed this 27th day of April, 2010. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my <br />hand and caused the Seal of the City of New Brighton, <br />Minnesota to be affixed this 27th day ofApril, 2010 <br />Dave JacdVsen, Mayor <br />
