Northdale Construction Co Inc. <br />$49,589.14 <br />• Explanation: The City of New Brighton received four quotations for a sewer main repair located in the <br />alley area between I" Avenue NW and 2nd Avenue NW and also between 7d' Street NW and 8`° Street <br />NW. The original sewer was installed in 1947 through a low, wet area, and over time has developed <br />severe sags in the line. The sewer is not draining properly and has potential to plug easily and cause <br />sewer backups into approximately 9 homes. The City is proposing to remove and reinstall 314 linear feet <br />of 8 -inch sanitary sewer. The existing sewer is located in a 14 -foot wide unimproved alley. <br />In order to facilitate this work, a large cottonwood tree located in the alley behind 771 2nd Avenue NW <br />was removed by Four Seasons Tree Care at a cost of $4,275.
