k y <br />INCORPORATED <br />Pond Management Service —FAQ's <br />The Basic Pond Maintenance Program includes control of the common aquatic growths found in ponds <br />such as submerged weeds. duckweed and algae. We visit the pond(s) approximately every three to four <br />weeks and treat whenever required. The maintenance service is all-inclusive based on a single fee <br />lasting the full growing season and is not limited to a specific number of treatments (Unless otherwise <br />indicated). Should the pond require attention in between our visits simply notify us and we can have a <br />licensed applicator on site within one w three days. Are the products safe? <br />A. Yes. "We use only Minnesota; DNR and EPA aquatic registered herbicide and algaecide <br />products. At label rates the products used are effective on plants and algae at very low <br />euncentration levels allowing for a large margin of safe use. <br />Q. Is the water safe for humans, fish, pets and wildlife after treattnent(s)? <br />A. Swimming: <br />There are No label restrictions for swimming with the products we use. People should not <br />enter the water during the time of application. <br />Pets and Wildlife: <br />There are No restrictions for domestic pets or wildlife such as ducks, geese, cats, wild birds or <br />the family dog. <br />Fish Consum2tion: <br />There are No fishing/fish consumption restrictions. <br />lrrieation: <br />Some herbicide products that are effective on aquatic weeds can harm terrestrial plants. If you <br />use pond water for lawn watering or gardening we can coordinate treatments with your watering <br />needs. <br />Q. How do you apply the products? <br />A. Most ponds require a small boat and pump system. These are wheeled or carried to the pond <br />without any damage to your lawn. Smaller ponds can be treated via backpack sprayers <br />depending upon the nuisance. <br />Q. Do we need any special permits? <br />A. Not for small ponds. Larger (Public water) ponds and lakes do require permits issued by the <br />Minnesota DNR.
