Paetznick, Deputy Director of Public Safety <br />Comments <br />Adopt the resolution proclaiming Tuesday, August 3`d, 2010, as National Night Out in the City of <br />New Brighton. <br />Legislative History: <br />N/A <br />Financial Impact: <br />None <br />• Explanation: <br />The City of New Brighton will again be participating in National Night Out. This year, National <br />Night Out will be held on Tuesday, August 3`d, 2010. The National Association of Town Watch <br />reports that this is the 27th Annual National Night Out Event. The City of New Brighton has <br />been extremely successful with ten consecutive top -five finishes in the nation for cities our size, <br />including first place last year. We will again be asking for donations to the local Ralph Reeder <br />food shelf from all participants in National Night Out. This marks the tenth year that New <br />Brighton NNO block parties have collected donations for Ralph Reeder, with more than 21,000 <br />pounds of food collected since 2001. <br />Costs and Funding: <br />N/A <br />a-�4w <br />Anthony S.
