With no storm sewer in place, standing water and potential flooding concerns are
present during the freeze/thaw cycle in the spring and large storm events. The City of New Brighton
received six quotations to install a storm sewer to alleviate this drainage concern. An easement will be
acquired between lots 757-767 to install 140 feet of 12" PVC storm sewer, and a catch basin will be
added in 2"d Avenue over the existing storm sewer. The street and green areas will be restored upon
completion of the storm sewer installation.
Costs and Funding: The total cost of this project will be funded from the capital stormwater
improvement fund in the amount not to exceed $15,000.
Stepaniak Construction Co.
$7,770.00
Street Repair
$1,000.00
Subtotal:
$8,770.00
Project Contingency (10%)
$877.00
Easement
$1,200.00
Legal Fees
$500.00
In-house Eng & Admin ($2,000+$1,000)$3,000.00
Total:
$14,347.00
t I.
