Provided engineering services to <br />design and construct facilities to increase water quality and volume treatment as part of the <br />"Southwest Urban Lakes" project. Tasks include: <br />Analyze and investigate feasible stormwater Best Management Practice (BMP) <br />alternatives to meet water quality goals. <br />Ensure designs are properly designed based on flood protection and erosion control <br />measures. <br />Verify BMP designs meet applicable state, federal and local laws and rules. <br />BMP's include weir repair, dredging, lake outlet management, and a regional infiltration <br />basin. <br />Design and provide detailed cost estimates to design and construct BMP's. <br />Maintain budgets and provide technical services during implementation phase. <br />Rice Creek Watershed District Permit Reviewer. Engineer responsible for reviewing and <br />approving construction and wetland alteration permits within the District. Verified plans <br />adhered to watershed rules regarding proper building and parking site location, site grading, <br />utilities, erosion control, floodplain, wetland, flood and water quality protection during <br />construction and post -construction. Reviewed and approved maintenance agreements and <br />legal descriptions for constructed stormwater facilities. <br />South Washington Watershed District -Wide Nutrient (Phosphorus) Management. Lead <br />Project Engineer responsible for analyzing the Powers Lake portion of the watershed. Key <br />accomplishments include: <br />Successful calibration and verification of observed flow and water quality data to a large <br />reservoir water quality model results. <br />Preparing the report in a MPCA TMDL style format. <br />Providing engineering assistance and training to Watershed staff. <br />
