August 11, 2010 Page 4 of 4 <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />City Manager Lotter reported he will be on vacation the following week. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the EDC will meet August 17th, and encouraged participation <br />in Stockyard Days. <br />David Phillips <br />Absent <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen reported 140 parties occurred during National Night Out, and expressed <br />appreciation to all the volunteers who participated. <br />Mary Bur>? <br />Councilmember Burg attended the PREC meeting and the Cable Commission meetings. The <br />Cable Commission is looking into moving from their current Roseville location. It was reported <br />the City of New Brighton receives approximately $220,000 annually from Comcast through <br />cable franchise fees. A public hearing discussing service levels was held at the last PREC <br />meeting. Residents were reminded to look through the latest fall edition of the Parks and <br />Recreation program brochure. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson reported National Night Out was well attended, with 140 parties in <br />the City.
