of <br />NEW <br />iRIC� ION <br />the city that works for you <br />Council Worksession <br />July 27, 2010 <br />5:00 <br />• NWQ Topics -Railroad Wye Update and Housing Developer Update. <br />• Consideration of Firefighter Relief Association Benefit Level. <br />Present: Mayor Jacobsen <br />Councilmember Phillips <br />Councilmember Samuelson <br />Councilmember Bauman <br />Councilmember Burg <br />Absent: <br />The meeting began at 5:00 pm <br />NWQ Topics -Railroad Wye Update and Housing Developer Update. Staff provided a <br />memo on the Railroad Wye project and informed Council that this would <br />be scheduled for a future conversation. Staff presented a memo on housing <br />current status of housing and property conditions in New Brighton. <br />Councilmember Phillips discussed his ideas for providing a rehabilitation <br />program in New Brighton. Staff will continue to look into this matter and <br />make further recommendations in the future. <br />Consideration of Firefighter Relief Association Benefit Level. Council asked for this <br />item to be removed from the previous Council agenda for additional discussion at a <br />worksession. Council asked questions about the funding of the relief association and the <br />solvency of the fund. Council agreed to consider taking action on increasing the benefit at <br />the regular meeting at 6:30 pm. <br />The meeting ended at _6:30_ pm <br />
