MANAGER" S APPROVAL: <br />No conuiients to suoolement this reDort.,F Comments attached <br />Recommendation: To approve contract"Partial Payment 2 for Project 10-1, 2010 Street Rehabilitation <br />in the amount of $294,163.46 to Valley Paving, Inc. <br />Legislative History: The City Council ordered Project 10-1, 2010 Street Rehabilitation on April 13, <br />2010 and approved plans and specifications May 25, 2010. The contract was awarded to Valley Paving, <br />Inc. on July 13, 2010. <br />Financial Impact: Please see attached payment breakdown for details. <br />Explanation,: The project consists of the removal and replacement of the bituminous surfacing on the <br />following streets: <br />25th Street NW <br />4D Daisy Court <br />27th Avenue NW <br />21st Street NW <br />28 th Avenue NW <br />17th Avenue NW <br />- Long Lake Road to 14th Avenue NW <br />- All <br />- 21St Street NW to Mississippi Street <br />- 27th Avenue NN�7 to cul-de-sac <br />- Rice Creek Road to cul-de-sac <br />- 14th Street NW to Long Lake Road <br />A base course of 3 -inches has been placed on each street, damaged curb and gutter has been removed <br />and replaced, and a majority of the utility work is complete. Remaining items include the final lift of <br />asphalt (2 -inch wear course), tree planting in Meadow Wood Park, sodding disturbed areas and the <br />sewer lining on 25th Street NW. <br />The provisions of the contract with Valley Paving, Inc. stipulate that the City makes a partial payment to <br />the contractor at lease once each month at regular intervals on the basis of the work performed during <br />that preceding month. This partial payment shall not exceed 95 percent of the value of the certified <br />estimate. <br />Costs and.
