September 14, 2010 Page 6 of 6 <br />Nothing to report. <br />David Phillips <br />Councilmember Phillips reported he was excited about the possibility of a high quality rental <br />property in the Northwest Quadrant. The Planning Commission will have a special meeting on <br />September 16th. Discussion will be related to a recent Supreme Court ruling regarding variances, <br />open meeting laws and general zoning issues. The next regular Planning Commission meeting <br />will be September 21, 2010. <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobsen reported council continues to work on the Budget. Mayor Jacobsen expressed <br />his support for a Library at the Family Service Center in New Brighton. <br />Mary Burg <br />Councilmember Burg reported there was not a PREC meeting in September due to lack of <br />agenda items. Three new commissioners were appointed. The Executive Director of the Cable <br />Commission was at the earlier worksession. <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson reported the Public Safety Department reported the Jane Doe case is <br />still unsolved. The National Night Out participants donated 3,364 pounds of food at $788 cash to <br />the Ralph Reeder Food Shelf The next Public Safety meeting is schedule for September 29, <br />2010.
