RESOLUTION NO. <br />10-058 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION AGREEING TO ACCEPT RECYCLING CONTAINERS <br />,)PURCHASED BY RAMSEY COUNTY, TO BE PLACED INTO PUBLIC PARKS <br />OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey County Board of Commissioners supports efforts to <br />expand opportunities for people to recycle away from home and wish to respond to the <br />public's interest in recycling in public spaces; <br />WHEREAS, funding is set aside to be used for the purchase of bins to be used in <br />spaces including parks and public gathering places, and the County Board has <br />off a three year program called "Be Active! Be Green! Recycling Container <br />" beginning in 2010 that will provide recycling containers to <br />palities/townships to use in public spaces at no cost to the city/township; <br />WHEREAS, The City of New Brighton supports efforts to create more <br />mities for people to recycle while away from home; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT the City of New Brighton: <br />1. agrees to enter into an agreement with Ramsey County to place recycling <br />bins purchased by the County in public locations such as parks, along <br />trails or other areas that are currently serviced by the City; the City of New <br />Brighton also agrees to service and maintain the recycling bins, insuring <br />recyclables are handled appropriately and delivered to market, and <br />promote the use of the bins through City communication methods over the <br />next five years. <br />2. <br />this 10 day of September, 2010. <br />iel A,_ Maiers -Director of Finance <br />Support Services / City Clerk <br />Dave Jac sen, Mayor <br />Dean R.
