Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councibnember Burg to approve the mitigation plan for multiple dwelling license for the property at Silver Lake Flats located at 2190-2160 W County Rd E with the provision that information will be provided from the owner regarding rental unit occupancy on a monthly basis. City Attorney LeFevere suggested if the condition is not satisfactory to the applicant, staff will give notice of a hearing for non renewal ofthe license based on the fact that the mitigation plan is not satisfactory. 5 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried 2. Code Fnforcemerrt Officer Joe Hatch reported we are in the final year ofatwo year contract with Waste Management at a rate of $1.89/morithper resident Staff was directed to obtain an RFP for single sort recycling; two were received Staff recommendation was to contract with Allied Waste (option 1) due to the low cost, $2.49/morah per household for three years. Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Phillips to approve the resolution authorizing the City Manager and Mayor to execute a contract with Allied Waste Systems for single stream recycling to begin in 2011 reflective of the proposal, option number 1. 1 5 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried 2.
