New Business <br />A. Goose Management - Presenters: <br />MOTION BY JERED WEBER, SECONDED BY ALYSSA <br />LUNDBERG, TO ADD;THE HUMANE SOCIETY TO THE AGENDA <br />AS ONE OF THE PRESENTERS THIS EVENING. MOTION <br />CARRIED. <br />• Lisa & John Taft - Residents <br />John: <br />o Expressed concern over cost to residents, when the roundup <br />does little in the way of benefitting parks within the City but <br />benefits residents adjacent to lakes and ponds. <br />o There are more humane and cost-effective means of <br />controlling the goose population <br />o No findings that the geese are a public nuisance or threat to <br />public health <br />o Funding of this inhumane goose roundup is objectionable and <br />unnecessary and not a long term solution <br />Lisa - Alternative Solutions <br />o Non-lethal methods are humane and cost-effective alternatives. <br />The DNR states that landscaping shorelines is the most <br />effective, long term solution to the goose problem.
