<br />I, <br />i I <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />fi:.: <br />I <br />'1; <br /> <br />0\, t <br /> <br />Moore- <br />Council Member Sykp.~ introduced the following resolution, the reading <br />, of which was dispensed with by unanimous consent, and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 01-029 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DECERTIFYING TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICTS NOS. I <br />1 AND 3. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of New <br />. Brighton, Minnesota (the "City"), as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recitals. <br /> <br />1.01. It has been proposed that the Council decertify the original net tax ! <br />capacity of Tax Increment Financing Districts Nos. 1 and 3 (the "TIF Districts") ! <br />pursuant to and in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.177, subdivision <br />12. <br /> <br />1.02. The Council hereby determines that it is necessary and in the best <br />" interests of the City at this time to request decertification of the TIF Districts. <br /> <br />Section 2. Approval of Decertification. <br /> <br />2.01. The decertification of the TIF Districts is hereby approved and adopted by <br />the Council of the City. <br /> <br />Section 3. Directions to City Staff. <br /> <br />3.01. The City staff is hereby directed to request the County Auditor to decertify <br />the original net tax capacity of the TIF Districts. <br /> <br />3.02. The Finance Director is hereby directed to return any excess tax: <br />increment revenues remaining in the tax increment accounts for the respective TIF : <br />Districts to the County Auditor, who shall distribute the excess amount to the City, <br /> <br />1 <br />
