RESOLUTION No. <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br /> CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING AND ACCEPTING CHANGE FOR THE BETTER <br /> DONATIONS RECEIVED IN 2010 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton invites and accepts donations to assist in programs and <br /> initiatives; and <br /> WHEREAS, one method by which citizens can make donations to the City is the "Change for the <br /> Better"program; and <br /> WHEREAS, participants in the "Change for the Better"program authorize the City to round the <br /> amount of their quarterly utility bill up to the nearest dollar or ten dollars, or add a fixed amount <br /> to their bill; and <br /> WHEREAS, the contributions received from this program in 2010 are designated for <br /> improvements and enhancements to City parks; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the City Council's desire to acknowledge and express appreciation to all <br /> participants for their donations; <br /> NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,by the City Council of the City of New Brighton to <br /> hereby approve the resolution acknowledging and accepting donations received in 2010 as <br /> follows: <br /> 1. $1,299.59 from the participants in the "Change for the Better"program; and <br /> 2. Designate these contributions for use in improvements and enhancements to City parks. <br /> Adopted this l lth day of January, 2011. <br /> Dave Jacobsen, Mayor <br /> Dean R.
