City Manger Lotter noted that the council has held multiple worksessions discussing the 2011 budget,and introduced the City's Finance Director. Finance Director Dan Maiers explained there are two resolutions for consideration;the fast to approve the 2011 Tax Levy,and the second to approve the 2011 budget. It was reported the 2011 tax levy will remain the same as it was in 2010,as well as the amount certified to Ramsey County in August 2010.December 7,2010 a meeting for Public Comment was held in New Brighton. The 2011 General Fund Budget is$12,185,700;a decrease of 3.2%($403,100)from the amended 2010 budget. Motion by Councilmember Burg,seconded by Councilmember Phillips to waive the reading and adopt the resolution approving the Final 2011 Property Tax Levy. 3. Resolution No. 10- 087 Finance Director Dan Maiers explained the city has established a storm sewer taxing district for a number of years. The proposed levy for 2011 is unchanged from 2010; $2,250. David Hoel: 2738 17th Terrace NW commented there is still money available to repair any equipment, and these funds are to cover ongoing maintenance costs. Motion by Councilmember Samuelson,seconded by Councilmember Bauman to waive the reading and adopt the resolution approving the Final Tax Levy for taxes payable in 2011 for Lake Diane Storm Sewer Taxing District.
