Terms Limits. <br /> (1) Planning Commission members will be allowed to serve four consecutive terms or a maximum of <br /> twelve years. <br /> (2) All other commission and committee member appointments will be allowed to serve three <br /> consecutive terms or a maximum of nine years. <br /> (3) Effective April 1, 2010, the City Council will begin enforcing the term limits on current <br /> commission or committee members who have served for three or four consecutive terms. <br /> (4) If a commission or committee member is appointed by the City Council to complete the term of <br /> an individual that has resigned or been removed by the City Council, the time served by the <br /> commission or committee member to complete the remainder of an existing term will not count <br /> towards the term limit requirements set forth by the City. <br /> (5) A commission or committee member that has served the maximum number of terms allowed by <br /> the City is required to take a one year break from serving on that particular commission or <br /> committee.
