Approved <br /> Announcements: <br /> (A) Welcome new Commissioners,Michael Shardlow&Greg Meyers. <br /> (B) New Variance Legislation <br /> City Planner Gundlach reported new variance legislation was signed; the main difference is the omission of <br /> "undue hardship",replacing it with"practical difficulties." <br /> Commissioner McPherson asked if this is a more relaxed approach. Ms. Gundlach responded communities use the <br /> variance tools differently but is could be considered a relaxed standard by those who were strictly interpreting <br /> hardship. Ms. Gundlach also noted in the past five years, only a small number of variances were granted. <br /> (C) Worksession schedule <br /> Chair Howard noted the Commission has decided to meet monthly to discuss various topics the City Council has <br /> requested.
