RESOLUTION NO. <br />11-070 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING THE FINAL PLAT OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />E I ST ADDITION. <br />WHEREAS, the City of New Brighton initiated an application for a Final Plat for property located <br />within the Northwest Quadrant on the east side of Old Highway 8 NW to be known as Outlots A <br />— DI NEW BRIGHTON EXCHANGE IIT ADDITION, by the Planning Commission. <br />LS, the procedural history of the application is as follows: <br />The Preliminary Plat of NEW BRIGHTON EXCHANGE 1sT ADDITION was <br />considered by the Planning Commission on February 15, 2011, and an approval <br />recommendation was forwarded to the City Council. <br />The City Council approved the Preliminary Plat of NEW BRIGHTON EXCHANGE 1sT <br />ADDITION on February 22, 2011 per Resolution 11 -029. <br />The Planning Commission considered the Final Plat of NEW BRIGHTON EXCHANGE <br />1 ST ADDITION on June 21, 2011 and recommended approval to the City Council. <br />The City Council considered the final plat on July 12, 2011. <br />s, the Planning Commission and City Council make the following Findings of Fact with <br />to the Final Plat (FP201 1 -001): <br />The property is zoned NWQ, Northwest Quadrant. <br />The property is located on the east side of Old Highway 8 NW within the New <br />Brighton Exchange redevelopment area, generally north of I-694, east of Old <br />Highway 8 NW, south of 14th ST NW, and west of I -35W. <br />Numerous legal descriptions make up the current parcel layout of the approximately <br />45.45 acres of property area. <br />The plat as originally prepared was named NORTHWEST QUADRANT EAST and <br />was renamed NEW BRIGHTON EXCHANGE 1sT ADDITION to reflect the City <br />Council renaming of the Northwest Quadrant Redevelopment Area. <br />The proposed legal descriptions of the plat comprise of Outlots A — D, NEW <br />BRIGHTON EXCHANGE IST ADDITION and dedication of right-of-way to be <br />named Northwest Parkway. <br />Section 26-41 of the City Code establishes the following data necessary for a final <br />plat: <br />A. The final plat shall be prepared by a land surveyor who is registered in the State <br />of Minnesota and shall conform to all State and County requirements and the <br />requirements of this Chapter. <br />B. Information to be shown: <br />a. Accurate angular and lineal dimensions for all lines, angles, and curvatures <br />used to describe boundaries, streets, alleys, easements, and areas to be <br />reserved for public use.
