The applicant Donald (Skip) <br />Wyland stated ideally he would like to expand the hours of operation, but did note, they will <br />' follow with whatever the council directs. Mayor Jacobsen confirmed the after hours business <br />would likely be by appointment, and all unloading would take place on the south side of the <br />building. City Planner Gundlach stated Industrial Zones do not have restrictions on hours of <br />operations. Councilmember Burg reported there are many narrow tall varieties of trees that <br />would serve the purpose of screening. <br />Councilmember Bauman commented that she drove through the adjacent neighborhoods, <br />and does understand the resident's concern; as they cannot foresee the effect the crematory may <br />have. Councilmember Bauman encouraged Mr. Wyland to continue to be engaged with the <br />neighbors. <br />Mr. Richard Kotoski, a property owner in Arden Hills thanked the Council for the solution, and <br />requested spacing of screening be specified, as it is the resident's desire to have adequate <br />screening immediately. <br />Motion by Councilmember Samuelson, seconded by CouncihnemberPhillips to adopt the <br />resolution, subject to conditions and amendments as read by Councilmember Phillips. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carred <br />4. Advisory <br />Commissions. <br />' Councilmember Bauman reported at the preceding worksession, interviews were conducted, and <br />the following appointments to Advisory Commissions were made: <br />Geoff Hollimon appointed to the Public Safety Commission - term expiring 3-31-2013. <br />Greg Meyers appointed to the Planning Commission - term expiring 3-31-2014. <br />Motion by Councilmember Bauman, seconded by Councilmember Phillips to approve the <br />appointments. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates I Commission <br />Liaison Reports, <br />Gina Bauman <br />Announcements <br />and UpdatesCouncilmember Bauman reported she attended the Planning Commission meeting, and all items <br />were brought to the Council Meeting. <br />Mary Bure <br />Councilmember Burg will attend the Pubic Safety Commission meeting May 25, 2011. The <br />Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was attended May 15th. Volunteer of the Year was awarded to <br />' Gayle Christiansen, who volunteered over 100 hours in 2010. The following four volunteers <br />were recently appointed to serve on the Public Safety Commission; Bob Berke, Mike Donahue, <br />Judith Lamp and Geoff Hollimon. <br />
