Mr. Hatch <br />responded that he will look into the request, noting currently the City's website offers current <br />'schedules. <br />Motion by Councilmember Burg, seconded by Councilmember Philips to amend the City Code related <br />to garbage containers. <br />5 Ayes, 0 Nays - Motion Carried <br />Commission Liaison Reports, Announcements and Updates <br />Dean Lotter <br />Nothing to report. <br />Gina Bauman <br />Councilmember Bauman reported the Planning Commission met June 21; the Medtox parking lot <br />expansion was approved. The Planning Commission also approved an ordinance approving the <br />state guidelines for campaign signs. An item related to a 75 stall parking lot expansion at Pike <br />Lake Education Center was tabled until the July meeting. <br />Mary Bure <br />'Councilmember Burg reported the Public Safety Commission next meeting is June 29, at 6:30 <br />pm. The Public Safety Department is recruiting a Police Officer; over 100 applicants participated <br />in the testing process. Also reported was Any Vik, Brad Kresbach, and Director Jacobson <br />participated in Grandmas Marathon. <br />David Phillips <br />Councilmember Phillips commented on the View Apartments Groundbreaking, noting Stuart <br />Nolan described the project as AA+ apartment. The Parks, recreation and Environmental <br />Commission will be looking into the City's policy relating to the demolition of the Vermont Park <br />Shelter at their meeting scheduled for July 13`" <br />Char Samuelson <br />Councilmember Samuelson reported Director Fernelius provided an update at the recent EDC <br />meeting, including the View Apartment project and the Library addition to the Community <br />Center. <br />Mayor Jacobsen <br />Mayor Jacobson reported two groundbreakings occurred in June. The Library as well as the <br />View Apartments. Friends of the Library will be fundraising for various amenities for the <br />library. One Book, One Community has met and made selections, details will be on the City's <br />website.
