NIA city of <br /> O�I N <br /> the city that works for you <br /> Council Worksession <br /> July 26, 2011 <br /> 5:30 pm <br /> Present: Mayor Jacobsen, <br /> Councilmember Samuelson <br /> Councilmember Phillips <br /> Councilmember Bauman <br /> Councilmember Burg <br /> Absent: None <br /> Staff in attendance: <br /> Dean Lotter, City Manager <br /> Grant Wyffels, Public Works Director <br /> Charlie Lefevere, City Attorney <br /> 5:30 PM Lynn Barton—ROW Proposal- <br /> City Staff provided an overview of the proposal submitted by Lynn Barton for right of <br /> way(ROW) acquisition. Lynn Barton resides at 2511 17th Terrace. When the <br /> neighborhood was originally developed the ROW was acquired from each parcel, except <br /> the parcel that the Barton's currently own. Staff stated that this was most likely an <br /> oversight by the City,but it happened so long ago that no one knows the history of this <br /> issue. <br /> City Manager Dean Lotter explained to the City Council that the current property owner <br /> does not have a clean title to the property and that the public and private utilities are not <br /> in a formal ROW or easement. In 2010, Ms. Barton proposed that the City pay <br /> $11,605.00 for the ROW acquisition. The City Council agreed to offer Lynn Barton <br /> $7,400.00 for the ROW acquisition. <br /> 6:00 Advisory Commission Interview—The City Council conducted an interview of <br /> Mary Kunesh-Podein for a vacant commission seat. During the interview, Ms. Kunesh <br /> Podein stated that she would be interested in serving on the Parks, Recreation, and <br /> Environmental Commission (PREC).
