<br />j I <br />I <br /> <br />1'".- <br /> <br />" <br />~, <br /> <br />,~- <br /> <br />~. <br />i <br /> <br />RESOLUTION No. 00-115 <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THAT A CERTAIN PARCELS <br />ARE OCCUPIED BY STRUCTURALLY SUBSTANDARD BUILDINGS <br />AND ARE TO BE INCLUDED IN A TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT <br /> <br />, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of New Brighton, Minnesota <br />(the "City") as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recitals. <br /> <br />1.0 1 The City has considered the acquisition and/or redevelopment of parcels identified as follows <br />(the "Parcels"): <br /> <br />PIN 20-30~23-41-0001 <br />PIN 21-30~23-32-0009 <br />(19 NW 14TH Street) <br /> <br />1.02 Minnesota Statutes. Sections 469.174 through 469.179, inclusive, as amended and <br />supplemented from time to time (the "Tax Increment Act") provides for the establishment of <br />a Tax Increment Financing District as a redevelopment district. The Tax Increment Act allows <br />for the inclusion of parcels within a redevelopment district after substandard buildings have <br />been removed by complying with Minnesota Statutes 469.174, Subd. 10(d). <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />FindinlZs. <br /> <br />2.01 The Council hereby finds that the acquisition and/or redevelopment of the Parcels furthers the <br />goals and objectives of the Development Program. <br /> <br />2.02 The Council hereby finds that the Parcels are occupied by structures that are structurally <br />substandard, as defined in the Tax Increment Act and described in the blight report on file with <br />the City, and that the structures must be demolished and removed from the Parcels. <br /> <br />2.03 The Council hereby finds that the Authority intends to demolish or cause to be demolished the <br />substandard buildings and to prepare the Parcels for redevelopment. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Declaration ofIntent. <br /> <br />3.01 <br /> <br />The Council hereby declares its intent to include the Parcels within a type of a tax increment <br />financing district known as a redevelopment district and to file the request for certification of <br />the Parcels as part of a district with the Ramsey County Auditor within three years of when the <br />Parcels were occupied by substandard buildings. <br /> <br />; j <br /> <br />I:\SHARED\COUNCIL\Resolutions\2000\cd\19 NW 14th Street.wpd <br />
