RESOLUTION NO. <br />11-095 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF NO PARKING SIGNAGE ON 14TH STREET <br />NW BETWEEN 20TH AVENUE NW AND 23RD AVENUE NW ADJACENT TO PIKE LAKE SCHOOL. <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request to review the location and placement of the no parking signage on <br />14th Street, specifically at 21st Avenue NW as cars approach 14`h Street. During winter months, vehicles <br />have to pull out onto 14th Street with obstructed sightlines due to the height of snow banks and cars parked <br />too close to the corners. The request suggested moving the existing no parking signage about another 30 <br />feet west and east of 21" Avenue NW; and, <br />WHEREAS, On August 23, 2011 this request was referred to the September 26, 2011 Public Safety <br />Commission meeting for consideration. The following was recommended by the Commission: <br />1. Relocate four (4) existing "No Parking from Here to Comer" signs at 21st Avenue and 20th <br />Avenue 30 feet from the end of radius points. <br />2. Add two (2) "No parking from Here to Driveway" signs at the east entrance to Pike Lake School <br />30 feet from the driveway curb -cuts. <br />3. Add no parking zones to restrict parking on the north side of 14`h Street from 20`" Avenue NW to <br />23rd Avenue NW from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday thru Friday. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of New Brighton hereby <br />orders the installation of the following No Parking Signage: <br />1. Relocate four (4) existing "No Parking from Here to Corner" signs at 21st Avenue and 20th <br />Avenue 30 feet from the end of radius points. <br />2. Add two (2) "No parking from Here to Driveway' signs at the east entrance to Pike Lake School <br />30 feet from the driveway curb -cuts. <br />3.
