RESOLUTION NO. <br />11-110 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEy <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING THE INSTALLATION OF MISCELLANEOUS SIGNAGEONPALMER <br />DRIVE, ROBIN LANE, AND 13TH STREET NW. <br />WHEREAS, On November 9, 2011, the City Council received a neighborhood petition and referred <br />the traffic concerns from Pike Lake / Brighton Village area to the Public Safety Commission; and, <br />WHEREAS, On November 28, 2011, the Public Safety Commission held a public hearing to discuss <br />traffic related concerns on Palmer Drive and Robin Lane. The following was recommended by the <br />Commission: <br />L Install no parking signs along Palmer Drive. <br />2. Re -stripe / Re-sign Palmer Drive to better channelize traffic before getting to Robin Lane. <br />3. Install a stop sign at the exit of the Brighton Village Shopping Center onto Palmer Drive. <br />4. Double face the signs from both approaching directions to improve crosswalk safety. This will <br />help delineate the location of the existing crosswalks. <br />5. Post 10 mph advisory speed signs for the two 90 degree curves and add appropriate directional <br />turn arrows on the north and south ends of Robin Lane. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of New Brighton hereby <br />orders the installation of the following miscellaneous signage: <br />1. Install no parking signs along Palmer Drive from Silver Lake Road to Robin Lane. <br />2. Install Right Lane Ends and Right Turn Lane Must Tum Right signage on Palmer Drive. <br />3. Install a stop sign at the exit of the Brighton Village Shopping Center onto Palmer Drive. <br />4. Double face the crosswalk signage at the two existing crosswalks. <br />5.
