Frischman asked that Commissioners have laptops available for the next meeting. Trevorrow brought up the accident on Silver Lake Road. Council Member Phillips stated it was a Ramsey County right of way. Trevorrow wondered if there could be communication with Jan Parker to get an update. Council Member Phillips stated he would contact her. He will ask for an update to give at the December meeting. Trevorrow mentioned the Trails Committee had been working on Complete Streets. This was a program to have safe access for all users; including bicyclists, pedestrians, motorists, for safe travel. He thinks it got tabled at the City Council. Council Member Phillips said they were waiting to hear what the State guidelines were going to be. Parker stated the point of Complete Streets was to tell the Public Works Director that they can be allowed to relax... If they were redoing 10th Street, MNDOT has set guidelines on minimum street widths, lanes, setbacks for sidewalks...they are saying you could relax some of the guidelines (instead of a 10 ft. shoulder, you could have a 6 ft shoulder), that was the initial intent. Council Member Phillips stated Public Works Director Grant Wyffels asked the Council to hold on adopting issues like that until they found out what the MNDOT policies were going to be. Frischman asked for clarity from Grant. Trevorrow said there are a lot of new people on PREC. Do we want to ask Council why we are not on cable TV?
