RESOLUTION NO. <br />11-109 <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />OLUTION ESTABLISHING THE 2012 NON-UNION, FULL-TIME, REGULAR PART - <br />POSITIONS AND SEASONAL COMPENSATION PLAN; AND OTHER BENEFITS FOR <br />NON-UNION PERSONNEL <br />WHE{T�EAS, the compensation rates for non-union personnel must be set annually by Council resolution; <br />and 'i' <br />WH*EAS, the new compensation plans have been reviewed and are attached to this resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, it is also proposed that the City will continue to make a contribution towards the cost of <br />emv16yee health insurance; and <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br />The City Council approves the attached 2012 compensation plans for all non union full-time, <br />regular part-time, and seasonal employees. <br />The City's contribution for single health coverage will be $620 per month, $740.00 per month for <br />single+l, and $860 per month for family coverage. Employees electing to opt -out of health <br />insurance coverage through the City of New Brighton are required to provide proof of insurability <br />elsewhere, will be provided $325 per month which may be used for other benefits associated with <br />the cafeteria plan or taken as a taxable benefit. The City will also contribute $600.00 (Single <br />participants) and $1,200 (Single+l and Family Coverage participants) annually towards the <br />insurance deductible for employees that are enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan <br />(HDHP)/Health Savings Account (HSA), as well as the start-up and monthly fees associated with <br />the Health Savings Account. <br />The City shall provide either an individual or family membership at the Family Service Center for <br />interested full-time and regular part-time employees, fire department personnel, and City Council <br />members, subject to the employee being responsible for any income tax liability or other issues <br />associated with membership. <br />The City Manager shall be authorized to make various expenditures relating to employee <br />recognition programs that are deemed to serve a public purpose for the benefit of the City. <br />In lieu of a COLA or STEP program for 2012, Manager Lotter shall bring back to the Council a <br />merit pay plan. <br />by the City Council this 13th day of December 2011. <br />Finance Director <br />CITe,OF"P1AV BRIGHTON <br />l .L <br />Dave tae sen.
