Lotter, City Manager <br /> CITY MANAGER'S APPROVAL: <br /> No comments to supplement this repor Comments attached <br /> Explanation: <br /> The City of New Brighton received no: cation from the Ramsey County Property Records and <br /> Revenue Department in December 2011 notifying the City that property located 401 1st Street <br /> SW was recently forfeited to the State of Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes. <br /> Ramsey County has determined that the tax forfeited property located at 401 1st Street is <br /> considered non-conservation land and is eligible to be conveyed to the City of New Brighton. <br /> The City of New Brighton would utilize this conveyance to acquire the vacant commercial lot at <br /> 401 1st Street SW(PIN#32-30-23-12-0016) for future right of way. The property at 401 1st <br /> Street SW is 124 square feet and a projected market value of$400. Approval of the proposed <br /> resolution would authorize City staff to submit the conditional use deed application and a <br /> $250.00 application fee to the Minnesota Commissioner of Revenue and $77.70 to Ramsey <br /> County in recording fees to request the conveyance of the tax forfeited property located at 401 1st <br /> Street NW, New Brighton, MN for public right-of way utilization. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> City staff recommends approval of a resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to <br /> execute an agreement with Ramsey County to convey the vacant lot located at 401 1st Street SW <br /> through a Conditional Use Deed with the State of Minnesota and Ramsey County. <br /> Legislative History: <br /> None <br /> Financial Impact: <br /> The funding for the$250.00 Minnesota Commissioner of Revenue application fee and $77.70 in <br /> ecterctin s wo aid t rou the Street Department fund number 101-46132-6100. <br /> Dean R.
