Legislative History: On July 26, 2011 the City Council accepted a proposal for engineering services from Inspec, Inc. and authorized preparation of plans and specifications and advertisement of the project. On August 9, 2011 the City Council awarded the contract to Berwald Roofing Company, Inc. Financial Impact: Please see attached payment breakdown for details. Explanation: This project involved the replacement of the roofs on Well House 10 and Well House 11 with built-up roofs. This original roofs date back to 1983 on Well House 10 and 1984 on Well House 11 when they were first constructed. The existing roofs were in disrepair, leaking, causing interior wall staining. The area replaced is approximately 1,700 square feet on Well House 10 and 3,600 square feet on Well House 11. The new roofs have a life expectancy of 25 years. All contract work with Berwald Roofing Company, Inc. for Project 11-12, Well House 10 & 11 Roof Replacement has been completed and accepted by City staff. This payment includes payment on all contract final quantities associated with the project. It also releases all payment retainage. Costs and Funding: The total cost of this project including engineering will be funded from Fund 400, Water Improvement Fund. Grant M. Wyffel , .E. Director of Publi Works Attachment
